Fujitsu has unveiled the latest indoor base station (BroadOne LTE Femtocell) in CES 2012.
Fujitsu, an eminent tech giant established in Japan has launched some exclusive products for its customers in CES 2012. Until now, the company has revealed its invention in every single category. But recently Fujitsu showcased a brand new indoor base station for the mobile industry which is remarkably powerful. Fujitsu BroadOne LTE is a type of Femtocell, which can be used to connect broadband connection with the purpose of supplying wireless Internet connectivity on mobile devices. Typically, a Femtocell is akin to a gateway that is manufactured by mobile providers to facilitate seamless Internet surfing on a mobile network. Fujitsu BroadOne LTE Femtocell is equipped with modern technology that does not require any sort of configuration. Once attached, there is no need to carry out any sort of installation. It’s great to see that how Fujitsu has cut down the cost involved in configuring a wireless device like BroadOne LTE in an outdoor station.

In one of its blog posts, Fujitsu said that “When installing the LTE Femtocell, there is no need for mobile carriers to adjust the settings in their outdoor macrocell base stations because the LTE Femtocell itself includes technology that reduces interference.”
Also, one can easily switch between a Femtocell and a Wi-Fi connection without losing the wireless signal. In addition to this, it has a capability to hold maximum 8 mobile handsets at the same time. Although Fujitsu has encountered many leaps and bounds in the past, with this particular device the company has decided to take its brand much higher in the global market. After CES 2012, the base station device will be displayed in Mobile Conference 2012 as well. Going further, BroadOne LTE Femtocell will hit the markets in second quarter of this year along with a target of establishing total 1 million units till the end of 2015.
