Fujitsu® introduces four new fi-series scanners

Fujitsu has added four new scanners to its fi-series (fi-6130Z, fi-6140Z, fi-6230Z, and fi-6240Z). The four new next generation scanners promise great speed and are loaded with lots of new technology and enhanced features.

“The latest high performance workgroup scanners added to our line of document imaging solutions look to continue the company’s product evolution and innovation in the workgroup segment. Fujitsu has always focused on delivering the best solutions that address the changing needs of our customers. The new fi-series workgroup product line looks to continue the success of their predecessors, which have sold over 1.5 million units worldwide,” said Scott Francis, vice president of marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc.

Some of the advanced features included in the new Fujitsu fi-series are:

• Monitor and update all your scanners drivers from one place using Scanner Central Admin.
• Intelligent Multi-Feed Function (iMFF) technology helps you to identify sticky notes, taped-receipts, etc. before you scan.
• The Enhanced Paper Protection feature stops the device during scanning if it finds any unevenness. This helps you to save paper and prevent printing of damaged documents.
• Kofax VRS 5.0 Professional enhances the image quality and accuracy of optical character recognition (OCR).
• ScandALL PRO Batch Scanning and PDF Edit Software feature helps in identifying 1D and 2D barcodes.

Fujitsu fi-series scanners also come with services like Advance Exchange. This provides customers with one year warranty and promises better experience with the scanners. In case of any failure, the company replaces the scanners.

Fujitsu fi-6140Z and Fujitsu fi-6230Z are priced at US$ 1,1995 each, Fujitsu fi-6130Z is priced at US$ 1,195, and Fujitsu fi-6240Z at US$ 2,495. Fujitsu fi-6230Z and Fujitsu fi-6240Z will hit the market next month while the other two scanners are already available with selected distributors.
