Turn on and off Bluetooth in Fujitsu LifeBook T730 tablet PC
You have to first configure the Bluetooth to use it. To configure it, go to‘Windows system tray’ right click the ’Bluetooth’ indicator, ‘Start Using Bluetooth’ then type the name of your PC you prefer to be shown to the others while using Bluetooth, then select the services you want to be install (recommended to select all the services). Now, the system can search for Bluetooth devices. To pair a device, give a password, select the services your searched Bluetooth device is capable of, ‘Configure’ and finally click ‘Finish’. This can also turn on the Bluetooth. To set it off, go to ‘Control Panel, ‘System’, ‘Device Manager’ and set Bluetooth ‘Off’. If you want to disable the Bluetooth service without disabling the wireless, reboot and go to ‘BIOS’ , then ‘Wireless’ and select to disable it.
Things to keep in mind while doing so
Bluetooth makes you communicate with the other Bluetooth enabled devices in the vicinity. For its better performance, you shall keep your Bluetooth driver updated. You can update it by clicking ‘Start’ then right click on ‘My Computer’, ‘Properties’ ‘Hardware’, ‘Device Manager’, ‘Network adapters’ then right click on ‘Bluetooth network adapter’ and click ‘Update driver’. Before installing updates, you must create a System Restore point to keep backup of you system
Bluetooth device and its driver increase connectivity of the tablet PC. It makes you use services like Internet connectivity, file transfer service, files sharing service, remote services via Bluetooth. When it is turned on, you can connect to any other Bluetooth devices easily by configuring it. You can use hardware like Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth keyboards, Bluetooth mouse etc. But, the PC may consume more power when the Bluetooth is turned on and also the system may be affected by viruses from another Bluetooth enabled device through it.
