- Loss of Driver Software
Need for Formatting
The Fujitsu LifeBook NH570 could be formatted and the Operating System in it could be removed if necessary. This is usually done if the system undergoes a serious crash which is irrecoverable. Formatting could be done if the system is infected with infectious contents which are difficult to be removed using anti-virus software. If the Operating System needs to be upgraded, you would need to format the system. The formatting could take place if some other components of the system are upgraded and that demands an upgrade of the Operating System.
Complete Data Loss
Formatting your system means cleaning your system off whatever data that has been residing inside it. The hard disk is cleaned up and nothing remains after the formatting. You would lose all your personal documents and files, your movies and photos that was stored in the system. To avoid this, take a back up of all necessary data before performing the formatting. You could copy the data to a removable external device like a CD, DVD, USB drive or an external hard drive.
In addition to the personal files and folders, the driver software and other important application software that has been installed in the system would also be deleted. You would need to reinstall all the necessary drivers after reinstalling the Operating System. If you are using Windows 7, these drivers would be automatically installed with the Operating System. But if the Operating System used is some other earlier version, you would need to install the drivers manually. So make sure you take the back up of necessary drivers if you do not have their original installation CDs with you. You could also back up other software and applications that you would want to install in the system.
