Adapter light not blinking
There is a green light on the AC adapter brick which indicates that the adapter brick is receiving power properly. If this light is not on, that means there are problems with the AC adapter. Sometimes it might not receive power properly due to the breakage of the connecting cord or pins of the plug in the AC adapter. You need to replace the jack or re-solder the pins correctly.
Brick not receiving power
If the green indication light on the brick does not come on when you plug the AC adapter in, that means the AC adapter is not receiving power. You can check the AC adapter in any other plug, if the problem remains, that indicates a break with the connecting cord or any damage in internal components of AC adapter brick.
If the light in the AC adapter brick is on but your laptop does not receive any power, then it might be the problem with the output cord. You can check the AC adapter with any other Lenovo laptop. If the problem is still there you can replace the cable of the AC adapter or the AC adapter itself, if you are under warranty.
This is one of the common problems with the AC adapter and the laptop. Sometimes you may not able to connect the AC adapter jack to the laptop and the power output is not stable. This indicates physical damage with the AC adapter’s jack which might be a broken mounting bracket or pin inside it. To resolve this you have to resolder the pin or replace the AC adapter.
